Thank You from Johnnie W. Johnson — Republican Candidate for Colorado House District 5

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me and believed in our campaign for House District 5. Your encouragement, volunteer work, and financial contributions mean a great deal to me.

I'm especially grateful to the women who volunteered their time calling voters, Lawrence, one dedicated female supporter, and the Denver GOP office for helping keep our grassroots campaign moving forward.

Republican Johnnie W. Johnson versus Democrat Justine Sandoval

Here are the numbers that show the challenge facing our campaign:
Previous vote totals:

That means my opponent has raised nearly 49 times as much money as our campaign. But I believe elections should be about ideas, accountability, and serving the people — not simply who raises the most money.

When I first ran, my opponent had more than $100,000 in campaign funding. In my second race, that opponent had approximately $38,000. Now, as we approach the November 2026 election, we're facing another significant financial challenge.

Our fundraising goal is $20,000 to $60,000.

With additional support, we hope to reach more voters, communicate our message throughout District 5, and expand our outreach.

My priorities include lowering taxes, creating jobs, reducing unnecessary government fees, improving employment opportunities for blind and disabled Coloradans, and making elected officials more accountable to the people they represent.

I believe House District 5 deserves leadership that listens, responds to concerns, and works toward practical solutions.

To everyone who has donated, volunteered, encouraged me, or helped spread the word: Thank you! Your support has helped keep this campaign going. Together, we can continue building a stronger grassroots movement for House District 5.

Taxes

Johnnie Johnson is a proud signer of the Taxpayer Protection Pledge. That means he has made a written promise to voters to oppose any and all tax increases.

Specifically, Johnnie will
  • Oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses;
  • Oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reductin tax rates; and
  • Oppose all net increases.

Friends and supporters,

If you believe District 5 deserves a representative who listens to the voters and stands up for the people, please consider contributing $25, $50, $100, or $250 to help us build a strong grassroots campaign.

Together, we can give District 5 the voice it deserves.
